Catalina Farms

Wheat, canola and lupins grown on our family farm.

Our Farm

Our family operates a continuous cropping business in the North Midlands area of Western Australia. You’ll find us somewhere between Coorow, Buntine and Maya. It’s about a 20-minute drive to Coorow, 1 hour to the beach, 3 hours north of Perth, and absolutely beautiful here.

We enjoy endless views, warm sunsets and abundant wildflowers as we grow essential grains for domestic and export markets.

Rod, Shelley, Daniel and Jennifer Birch welcome you to learn more about our farm and the work opportunities that arise at Catalina Farms.

Our History

Catalina Farms has been part of our family since 1960. Trevor and Mary Birch cropped the original sand plain farm. They had acquired the land from Trevor’s uncle following his involvement in World War II. The farm was renamed ‘Catalina’ by Trevor’s son and daughter-in-law, Rod and Shelley Birch, in 1980 as a tribute to Trevor’s connection to the PBY Catalina flying boat. Daniel and his wife Jennifer joined his parents in 2018 to help manage the expanding farm.
