Our family farm is located in the Mid West, Western Australia. While we are close to the regional town of Coorow, we are also within close driving distance of beach-side towns and well-resourced cities.
Life in the Mid West
Catalina Farms is located in the North Midlands of Western Australia, approximately 20 minutes from Coorow and three hours north of Perth.
Living and working here offers plenty of space and a relaxed country lifestyle, surrounded by native bushland, seasonal wildflowers, salt lakes and expansive farming landscapes.
While we enjoy the benefits of rural living, we’re also within easy reach of regional towns, the coast and larger centres, with plenty to explore throughout the Mid West.
Coorow

Coorow is our closest town and has a friendly, welcoming community with a strong country spirit. It offers the everyday essentials, including a supermarket, post office, hotel and primary school, along with a range of local sporting and recreational facilities.
Moora

Moora is a larger regional centre offering a wider range of shopping, healthcare and professional services, including supermarkets, banking, pharmacy, medical and other essential services. The town also has a strong range of sporting and recreational facilities, including a heated public pool and performing arts centre, along with local heritage attractions and walking trails.
Green Head

Green Head is a relaxed coastal town and an easy escape from the farm, with beautiful beaches and sheltered bays ideal for swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, boating and fishing. Dynamite Bay, coastal walking trails and nearby islands make it a great place to spend a day by the ocean and enjoy the Western Australian coast
Geraldton

Geraldton is the major regional city of the Mid West, offering a wide range of shopping, healthcare, dining and professional services, along with beautiful beaches and a relaxed coastal lifestyle. There’s plenty to enjoy outside of work, including restaurants and cafés, sporting facilities, museums and galleries, coastal walks, water sports and regular events and entertainment.
Perth

Perth is approximately three hours from Catalina Farms, providing easy access to Western Australia’s capital city for major shopping, entertainment, healthcare and transport connections. For those travelling further afield, Perth also provides access to domestic and international flights, making it relatively easy to explore more of Western Australia and beyond.
Wildflowers
From late July through to early October, Catalina Farms and the surrounding countryside come alive with an incredible variety of Western Australian wildflowers. Nearby trails and reserves offer opportunities to discover everything from delicate orchids to spectacular displays of everlastings, while day trips and camping trips further afield reveal even more of the region’s unique flora. It’s one of the most beautiful times of year to live, work and explore the Mid West.
Beach
The Indian Ocean is around an hour from Catalina Farms, with beautiful white-sand beaches, sheltered bays and coastal towns including Green Head, Leeman and Jurien Bay. Whether it’s swimming, snorkelling, fishing, boating or simply spending an afternoon at the beach, the coast provides an easy escape from the farm and plenty to explore on days off.
National Parks
The Mid West is home to a diverse range of national parks, nature reserves and unique landscapes, offering plenty of opportunities to explore beyond the farm. From bushwalking and wildlife to coastal scenery, caves and spectacular wildflowers, there are countless places to discover on a day trip or weekend away, including Lesueur National Park and the parks surrounding the Jurien Bay area.
